About Us

Naomh Barróg Cycling Club

NBCC was founded in 2016 by a group of passionate cycling enthusiasts united by a shared love for the sport and the camaraderie of group rides. The club was born as a “spin-off” from a charity event organised by our friends in Naomh Barróg GAA Club, with whom we remain closely aligned. Many of our members are proud to be part of both clubs, and we continue to run joint charity events supporting local causes every five years.

Since our founding, NBCC has grown into a friendly and progressive cycling community, and we’d love for you to join us. Whether you’re into relaxed Sunday spins, aiming to conquer the Wicklow 200km at speed, or training for epic challenges like the Raid Pyrenees and racing, our club is here to support your goals.

Our Mission

Our mission is simply to promote a fun, respectful, and safe cycling culture where every member feels included and supported—on and off the bike.

We ride to challenge ourselves, connect with others, and enjoy the open road. Whether you’re racing, training for a sportive, building fitness, or just looking for a social spin and a good coffee stop, NBCC has a place for you.

As a Cycling Ireland affiliated club, we uphold strong values of Integrity, Respect, Fairness, and Inclusion, and expect all members to contribute to a safe, positive environment.

We are a local club that aims to support local businesses, local communities and charities close to our hearts as part of our yearly fundraising activities. Some of our previous beneficiaries have included The Irish Heart Foundation, Beaumount Hospital, St Francis Hospice, KCCP among others.
